Privacy policy
Last updated: August 2026
Protecting your data matters to us — and we make that easy on ourselves: this site sets no cookies, uses no tracking, loads no fonts, maps, videos or scripts from third-party servers, and builds no user profiles. You can download the printables without telling us anything about yourself.
This site is operated from Austria and therefore follows the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which applies regardless of where you are reading from.
1. Controller
ReMi Services Holding GmbH

A data protection officer is not required by law and has not been appointed.
2. Visiting the site (server log files)
When you open this page, our hosting provider automatically records access data in what are called log files:
- the shortened or full IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of access
- name and URL of the file requested
- the volume of data transferred and whether the request succeeded
- browser, operating system and, where applicable, the referring page
Purpose and legal basis: technical operation, stability and security of the website, based on our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. This data is not combined with other sources and is not evaluated for advertising purposes.
Retention: log files are deleted or anonymized after 30 days at the latest.
Hosting provider (processor)
This website is hosted by a service provider inside the European Union. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place.
privacy.html.
(Same value as in the German privacy policy.)
3. Downloads
The three printables (logbook weeks, emergency card, compass poster) are downloaded without any sign-up, form or email address. Beyond the log files described in section 2, no data is collected.
4. Notification when Book 2 is published
If you sign up for the one-time notification about Book 2, we process your email address and the time of your sign-up and confirmation.
Double opt-in. After submitting the form you first receive a confirmation email. Your address is only stored once you click the link in it. This makes sure nobody can enter someone else’s address, and it documents your consent.
Purpose: exclusively the message that Book 2 has been published. No regular newsletter, no advertising for other products, no sharing or selling of your address.
Legal basis: your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Withdrawal: you may withdraw your consent at any time and without giving reasons — via the unsubscribe link at the end of any message, or informally to ms@remis.at. This does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
Retention: until withdrawal, and at most six months after the publication notice has been sent. Proof of consent is kept until the applicable limitation periods expire.
For sending we use an email marketing provider acting as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR.
5. Contacting us by email
If you write to us, we process your email address and the content of your message solely in order to answer it. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR or our legitimate interest in replying under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Your message is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed and no statutory retention obligations apply.
6. No cookies, no tracking
This site stores no cookies, uses neither analytics nor advertising tools (no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no reach measurement) and loads no fonts or other content from external servers. That is why there is no cookie banner — there is nothing to consent to.
7. Children
This site is addressed to adults: parents, grandparents, teachers and counselors. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. Signing up for the Book 2 notification is reserved for adults.
8. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the data we hold about you (Art. 15)
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
- erasure (Art. 17)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18)
- data portability (Art. 20)
- object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21)
- withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3))
An informal message to ms@remis.at is enough. We reply within one month.
9. Right to lodge a complaint
If you believe the processing of your data infringes data protection law, you may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority:
Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde (Austrian Data Protection Authority)
Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, Austria
www.dsb.gv.at
10. Changes
We will update this policy whenever the processing changes — for example when the Book 2 sign-up form goes live. The version published here is the one that applies.
